While we all enjoy the 4th of July and watching those gorgeous fireworks explode in the night sky celebrating our nation's birthday, we must remember that with the exceedingly vibrant colors that come with them also makes them extremely dangerous. I've known people, good people that died while using fireworks and before going out there I implore you to remember to respect how dangerous even a sparkler can be. This is fire that is being played with. Take care when lighting thing. If it doesn't go off or the wick looks to go out, STEP AWAY. Have a bucket ready and be prepared to douse things with water if need be. Water your grass beforehand. Park your car away from where you know fireworks will be. I'm not saying avoid having a good time on the 4th. I love it. I personally have a cookout and enjoy the company of my friends and family. I just want you to remember that fireworks, from snap pops to bottle rockets, all deserve respect. Take care this season and enjoy the company of your friends and family for years to come.
Happy 4th!

foggy
It's been foggy outside folks. And now it's summertime with a lot of kids out there playing now. Be sure to keep an eye open in the morning. If it's foggy, slow down a little and leave a little earlier for work to compensate for the time. Your patience could save a life.

Be aware
More sun today, so be sure to be on the lookout for motorcycles and bicycles out there. I passed an accident yesterday where a bike had been hit. Please, remember that bikes have a right to be out there. Slow down a little and leave for work a few minutes earlier so you are not in such a rush. A few extra minutes could save someone's life and could save you from the guilt and jail time of having hit someone.

Great weekend ahead!
It looks like it's going to be a beautiful, sunny weekend coming up here. Why not get out and enjoy it? Take a little road trip and enjoy the sun up on the beach. Or maybe head out of town to Indy or Chicago and go dancing or take in an IMAX movie. Be aware, have general maintenance done every year to your vehicle before a long or even a short trip out of town. I don't want to see you stranded on the roadside! Make an appointment with us today so we can make sure your car is still in great shape to go the long haul on those road trips.
Also, be sure to drop by Granger and see our brand new location as well as the newly paved and painted parking lot. Nothing like the smell of new car lot in the morning.
Have a great day!
