fireworks season

While we all enjoy the 4th of July and watching those gorgeous fireworks explode in the night sky celebrating our nation's birthday, we must remember that with the exceedingly vibrant colors that come with them also makes them extremely dangerous. I've known people, good people that died while using fireworks and before going out there I implore you to remember to respect how dangerous even a sparkler can be. This is fire that is being played with. Take care when lighting thing. If it doesn't go off or the wick looks to go out, STEP AWAY. Have a bucket ready and be prepared to douse things with water if need be. Water your grass beforehand. Park your car away from where you know fireworks will be. I'm not saying avoid having a good time on the 4th. I love it. I personally have a cookout and enjoy the company of my friends and family. I just want you to remember that fireworks, from snap pops to bottle rockets, all deserve respect. Take care this season and enjoy the company of your friends and family for years to come.

Happy 4th!
